BI-TORQ Valve Automation
Since 1981, BI-TORQ Valve Automation provides a diverse catalog of products to facilitate plant optimization and safety. From fully assembled automated Ball and Butterfly Valve packages to Fire-Safe Thermal Shut-Off Valves packages and Actuators, BI-TORQ assemblies are engineered to be reliable solutions for industrial applications.
Thermal Shut-off Valves (TSV)
BI-TORQs TSVs are critical safety devices for flammable media applications. The TSVs automatically shut-off a piping system or tank in the event of a fire, mitigating the risk of fire escalation through broken pipes, fittings, or equipment that has flammable or toxic material. Certain TSV assemblies are FM approved.
We will also mount customer-specific or Approved Manufacturer's List (AML) fire-safe valves on our thermal shut-off actuators and provide a complete package with our API 607 fire-safe ball or butterfly valves.
Ball Valves (BV) and Butterfly Valves (BFV)
Ball Valves (BV), also known as quarter-turn valves, control the flow of gas, air, or liquids using a turning hollow sphere, making them ideal for shut-off applications as they operate quickly. A hole at the center of the ball, called the bore, allows the flow through the valve. When the bore aligns with the pipeline, fluid in the pipe or tank flows freely through the valve. Turning the valve a quarter turn will orient the bore perpendicular to the pipe opening, closing the unit and shutting off the flow.
In contrast, Butterfly Valves (BFV) are a quarter-turn valve of sorts in that they also control the flow of gas, air, or liquids but using a central disc and with a 90-degree turn, the valve will go from the fully open to the fully closed position.
Our industrial line of BVs and BFVs offers a range of products in various materials of construction, body styles, connection types, manual or automatic operation, and limit switches, to fit in just about any industry.
Actuators
BI-TORQ Valve Automation specializes in superior valve components and Pneumatic and Electric Actuators. Our valve actuators are a vital component in the modern-day chemical, food and beverage, oil and gas, and electric power industries. These devices provide rapid operation of automating process control and allow operators to adjust various valves' positions remotely. This ability is crucial, as the manual operation of valves in large industrial plants can be time-consuming and impractical.
Valve Accessories & Repair Kits
We have a broad range of valve Accessories and Repair Kits to complete your automated valve package. Whether you want a limit switch for remote indication, an electro-pneumatic positioner for modulating control, a NAMUR solenoid for local electric control on pneumatic actuators, or a spring return “deadman” handles for critical applications where a manual valve can’t be left open.
