Please be advised the Governor of Illinois has issued an executive order on March 21st, for the closure of non-life sustaining businesses. BI-TORQ Valve Automation [BI-TORQ] is based in Illinois and serves a variety of commercial and industrial industries, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, hospitals, refining, chemical, and petrochemical. Strahman Valves, Inc. [SVI], BI-TORQ’s parent company, is a Pennsylvania company that manufactures commercial and industrial valves and equipment serving a range of critical end-markets including: food & beverage, pharmaceutical, hospitals, nursing homes, supermarkets, refining, chemical, petrochemical, and mining.

As such, SVI and BI-TORQ are permitted to remain open under the following category of businesses defined the Order as life sustaining:

• Industry: Manufacturing / Sector: Manufacturing / Subsectors: Chemical Manufacturing, Petroleum & Coal Products Manufacturing, Paper Manufacturing, Beverage & Tobacco Product Manufacturing, and Food Manufacturing
• Industry Groups: Animal Food Manufacturing, Dairy Product Manufacturing, Animal Slaughtering and Processing, Seafood Product Preparation and Packaging, Bakeries and Tortilla Manufacturing, Other Food Manufacturing, Beverage Manufacturing, Pulp && Paper Mills, Basic Chemical Manufacturing, Resin & Filaments Manufacturing, Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Medicine Manufacturing

Please know that the safety, health, and well-being of our employees is our top priority. Strahman Valves is closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and is staying up-to-date with the CDCs recommendations and guidance for all our production locations worldwide. The current situation for our global facilities is:

Strahman Valves, Inc., Bethlehem, PA, USA – 100% operational with production plant fully staffed and working and many office personnel working remotely from home

Strahman Valves, Inc., Mery, France – 100% operational with production plant fully staffed and working and with most office personnel working from home

Strahman MGS, Vaux sous Abigny, France – 100% operational with office and production plant fully staffed and working

BI-TORQ Valve Automation, La Fox, IL, USA – 100% operational with office and production plant fully staffed and working, and with some office personnel working from home

Our operations are continuing as they have but with further implementation of health and safety procedures throughout our facilities, like disinfecting workstations in the offices and shop. Many of our office personnel are working remote from home that maintains us to continue processing orders via e-mail, phone and our website. Our shops remain open and continue to produce and ship our products. We are not currently experiencing any disruption or delays in our supply chain but as this situation progresses this may change. We are fully stocked with inventory in all our facilities. However, because this crisis is fluid with government restrictions and mandates evolving daily, we would strongly encourage you to stock up on your inventories, parts and anticipate your needs. We are prepared and ready to serve you!
